ABOUT TAG
OUR STORY
For over 40 years, the Transportation Association of Greenwich (TAG) has been an indispensable transportation resource for the Greenwich community. TAG has provided over 1.6 million rides, primarily serving residents aged 65 and older, individuals with disabilities, and others in need of our specialized ADA-accessible transportation services.

TAG was established by a visionary coalition of Greenwich leaders from Town Hall, local nonprofits, businesses, and individual residents. They recognized the valuable benefits of sharing specialized ADA-accessible transportation resources across the entire Greenwich community.
Over decades of service, TAG has become an essential partner for many of our neighbors and community organizations. This service roster includes: Abilis developmental programs, River House Adult Day Center senior programs, Greenwich Senior Center daily programs, Greenwich YWCA after-school programs, Neighbor to Neighbor food delivery, Greenwich Department of Human Services at-risk neighbor programs, Greenwich Department of Education vocational programs, Red Cross Medical transportation, Pathways daily programs, Retired Men's Association group outings, SafeRides youth transportation, Greenwich Boys and Girls Club programs, on-demand state of CT specialized paratransit transportation, and Dial-a-Ride programs among many others.

TAG is also ready to help Greenwich during times of emergency. During the COVID pandemic, TAG partnered with Greenwich Department of Human Services and Neighbor to Neighbor to deliver over 800,000 pounds of food to as many as 550 food-insecure households per week. During local emergencies and disasters, TAG has been called to action alongside first responders, maintaining a safe and secure on-site presence for displaced residents, as well as providing transportation to local shelters.

TAG has recently doubled its annual ridership to 60,000, providing specialized ADA-accessible paratransit transportation services throughout southwestern Connecticut and neighboring regions.
